Love them. They were not difficult to install and watching the instructional video on YouTube prior to purchasing them made me more confident and willing to take on the challenge. Highly recommend purchasing the pin punch for both the removal and installation of the wheels. The punch will assist in aligning the wheel on the case and getting the pin installed is that much easier. They are quieter than the OEM wheels but not as quiet as I had expected. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and will buy more for my other Pelican cases. Highly recommended.
I hesitated a bit before purchasing this item and those fears were put to rest when I opened the box. From the packaging, to the sheet of instructions and the fit and finish of the product, I am truly happy. The tub fit inside of my 1610 perfectly, installed the end pads and the foam base layer and off we went. I would recommend without hesitation and I feel that there is good value for the money spent. Highly recommended.
I bought the black/lime green on Amazon to carry 3D printed prototypes that I didn't want to risk getting crushed when I had to gate-check the carryon on a regional jet. It worked great for this.
I really like the lime green handles because it makes the bag look unique. Easy to spot when it's coming down the baggage carousel and it deters baggage thieves who look for anonymous black luggage. Now I'm saving up for a matching 1615 case...
These handles and latches make your case stand out and are a direct replacement for the OEM models. The pin punch is a recommended accessory to purchase because the pins on the latches are difficult to get to and to punch out. I really like th new look and will pretty much insure that my case is easily distinguishable from other on the belt on in the room,
